All rich, folky acoustics and dark, subtle melodies, Beck Goldsmith released her

debut album Purely Second Guesses independently in 2005.

An extensive series of UK shows followed, including support dates for

Nizlopi, Headway, Fionn Regan and Roddy Frame.

Beck’s follow-up EP Waxwing saw the introduction of wailing electrics,

unsettling ambience, and detailed rhythmic arrangements, with collaborations

from members of Love Ends Disaster! and Lo Ego. The emphasis still strongly

on breathy vocals and poetic lyricism, Waxwing is highly evocative:

both unnerving and uplifting.

Originally from Nottingham, UK, Beck is currently working on her new album

in Normandy, France.
